Raising Student Retention Rates

Raising
Retention Rates

With CRi’s HeadStart Proactive Retention System™, higher retention rates become the low-hanging fruit of process improvement.

If you knew who your most at-risk students were before they even set foot on campus, your support services could start reaching out to them on day one… and make a difference with the students who almost immediately feel they aren’t going to make it.

So how does it work?

First of all, The HeadStart Proactive Retention System™ assigns a level of risk to each student.
Then, to make reaching out to at-risk students easier, it produces a Readiness Assessment that looks at seven non-cognitive skills.

Each student who completes the Readiness Assessment receives a personalized Pathway to Success™ report that highlights their strengths and suggests ways to become even stronger. The Pathway to Success report serves as the basis for a first meeting between an at-risk student and an advisor and provides a bridge to generate discussion.

Below, you can see actual results of the HeadStart Proactive Retention System™ system: a massive drop in attrition rate among high-risk and highest-risk students.

The financial implications of increased retention are surprising.
Even smaller institutions can generate revenue increases of up to a million dollars a year.

The psychological impact on retained students - and the institution - is immeasurable yet undeniable.

We can show you how.
